Walking into Newport, Kentucky's York Street Cafe, you know it's gonna be good. The aromas wafting through the high-ceilinged rooms and the friendly service immediately make your mouth water.

Apothecary Makeover
Built in 1872, this one-time pharmacy building still has its great atmosphere. Owner Terry Cunningham claims it's the best place to go for a first date. "There's so much stuff on the walls, you'll have plenty to talk about," he says with a smile.

The second floor features a nightclub with entertainment such as murder mysteries and improv comedy. The third floor boasts an art gallery.
