Living Room
The designers created a library atmosphere for the living room with a fireplace setting and built-in bookcases, the latter featuring a secret compartment to conceal valuables. Small paintings were hung from the bookcase frame for an added decorative touch, and simple sconces mounted directly to the outside molding provide extra light for reading. A coffered ceiling contributes architectural detail, while a seagrass rug softens the floors of heart pine recycled from old buildings.
