"If you take all your things and put them together, a collection can tell a story about who you are," says interior designer Ann Nordeen Parker. "The style here is simple and clean, but the art collection is gutsy." Need books just for looks? Shop thrift stores or library sales--Ann found dozens of books for less than a buck. She turned them around on the shelves to complement the neutral palette.
