Project Plan: Star of Texas Bed
This bed was designed and built for the 1994 Southern Living Idea House in Austin.
By Derick Belden

Difficulty Rating (one hammer is least difficult, four hammers is most difficult)

It's built from common materials using basic woodworking skills. The plan is sized for a twin bed and comes complete with a template for the star in the center.

If a star is not your style or you would like to adapt this design for a little girl, consider changing the cutout in the headboard. A heart, moon, or flower would be easy to substitute.
