Difficulty Rating (one hammer is least difficult, four hammers is most difficult)
Cool enough to fit in on a Friends set, our cabinet is 66
3/4 inches tall, 24 1/4 inches deep, and 46 inches wide.
Using plywood, yellow pine boards, and stock molding, you can build this space-saving
cabinet for around $120. Intermediate carpentry skills and basic workshop tools are required.
The cabinet features two adjustable shelves and a pull-out drawer for the computer keyboard. The
processing unit and printer can be stored below.
Display favorite photos, party invitations, and memorabilia on the two bulletin boards hung
on each door. Make them by cutting foam core or cork board to fit inside the door panels. Cover the
boards with colored burlap or other fabric. Make a ribbon grid, and secure to back of boards by
using a staple gun. Attach to door panels with a glue gun.
For this antique white finish, begin by painting the cabinet with an off-white flat latex paint.
Using a coarse-grain sandpaper, gently sand around the edges for a worn look. Protect the finish
with a flat clear sealer.
