Step 1: Remove the backing of the doors to take out the screen. (You may have to remove nails and staples.) For a smooth finish, sand the door frames with a fine-grade sandpaper, and then apply primer to the entire surface.

Step 2: Attach wallpaper to the hardboard paneling using wallpaper adhesive. Once the adhesive dries, rub the wallpaper with a fine-grade sandpaper to create a worn appearance.

Step 3: Paint the door and trim. Once dry, sand the trim for an antique look.

Step 4: Attach hardboard paneling to the back of the door using 3/4-inch finishing nails.

Step 5: For an aged appearance, cover the doors and the wallpaper with an antiquing glaze. (Tip: Add water to lighten the color of the glaze.)

Step 6: To seal the entire piece, apply one thin coat of clear polyurethane, and let dry completely. Hinge the three doors together.
