Step 1: Place the pump in the bowl’s lowest point. Run the cord over the edge. Surround the pump with clean pea gravel, covering all but the water output opening.
Step 2: Fill the dish with water, plug in the pump, and test the water flow. When it bubbles at the desired speed, disconnect the pump.
Step 3: Remove the plant from its pot, shake the soil loose, and then rinse off any remaining potting mix. Nestle the plant into the gravel, placing it to hide the pump cord.
Step 4: Top the pea gravel with decorative Mexican beach stones. Surround the plant, making sure roots are covered. Add water to the bowl’s edge, and plug in the pump.
