Fun on Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate May in a light way. Host your very own Mexican-style fiesta.
By Norman King

This month take your gathering outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Dahlias will add true Mexican flair to your table and brighten your home throughout the spring and summer months. Spice up your decorations by using assorted fresh chiles and other peppers.

Feel free to indulge in Scarlet Margaritas. They have about half the calories of the traditional beverage.

Recipes:
Fiesta Dip
Fresh Squash Chips
Avocado Fruit Salad
Scarlet Margaritas
Tortilla-Crusted Pork
Tomatillo Salsa
Pico de Gallo

It’s the perfect occasion to throw a party. To help you celebrate, we created a healthy Mexican-inspired Cinco de Mayo menu--complete with margaritas. The only additions you’ll need are good company, decorations, and music. Grab some maracas and dancing shoes, and bring your appetite for a fiesta to remember. Olé!

Healthy Benefits
•Avocados are an excellent source of folate and fiber. They’re packed full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and have been found to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides.
•Cooking with chiles and other peppers not only enhances the flavor of your food but also adds nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, and potassium.

Uno, Dos, Cinco!
Make your Cinco de Mayo Fiesta complete with our selection of Latin tunes. The playlist has various rhythmic sounds and styles that are sure to get you out of your chair and celebrating. So, don’t be afraid to step out on the dance floor and show your friends and family what you’ve got.
