Susanne Hudson doesn’t like leaving her garden. It’s easy to understand why. A finer example of blending home and garden exists only in the imagination. Marrying salvaged artifacts with a keen eye for design, she has fashioned a series of elegant, distinctive, and supremely comfortable garden rooms for which decking and grass are the floors, gravel paths are the hallways, and trees and sky are the ceilings.
“I wanted to treat my garden just like my house,” explains the Douglasville, Georgia, interior decorator. “I wanted a dining room, living room, foyer, and breakfast room. And I wanted lighting and furniture just like I have indoors.”
