Scott's Wine Suggestion:
Some folks might say that a down-home casserole such as this is no match for wine. I say, think again. The hallmark of this recipe is its rich, creaminess which is punctuated by hearty chunks of chicken, meaty mushrooms, and crunchy almonds. If you love Chardonnay, try your favorite. If you're new to white wine, think about Soave, one of my favorite medium- to full-bodied white's from Italy's Veneto region. Viognier is another big white wine that's high on my list.
