Scott's Wine Suggestion:
Outdoor entertaining is in full swing and this recipe certainly reflects the mood. Hamburgers are almost universally loved, and this hearty and robust recipe is sure to be a party favorite. This burger gets a zesty boots from tomato-veggie juice, which add a pleasant tang to the ground beef. An easy-drinking red is in order here, one with lots of ripe fruit and soft tannins. I also recommend serving your favorite beer too (especially on those warm afternoons).
  • 2001, Delicato, Merlot, California (A real deal)
  • 2001, Guelbenzu, Azul, Spain (A blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot)
  • 2001, Wolf Blass, Merlot, South Australia
  • 2001, Di Majo Noranti, Sangiovese, Italy
If you're a fan of beer, try a few of my favorites, which pair well with this recipe:
  • Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
  • Pilsner Urquell
  • Harpoon IPA
  • Pyramid Hefeweizen
