Recipe: Pork Tacos With Pineapple Salsa
May 2003: page 188

Scott's Wine Suggestion:
For this bold taco--seasoned with curry, garlic, and ground red pepper--you can either go with a red or white, so long as the wine is not too oaky. If you prefer white wines, look for something with lots of body and fruit flavor (Chardonnay, Viognier). For reds, Pinot Noir is always good with spicy pork preparations, but you might also try a lightly chilled Beaujolais (which is made with the grape Gamay) with this recipe, too.
  • Callaway, Viognier, California
  • Wolf Blass, Chardonnay, Australia
  • Trapiche Estate, Chardonnay, Argentina
  • Lindemans, Semillon/Chardonnay, Australia
  • Georges Duboeuf, Beaujolais-Villages, France
  • Gloria Ferrer, Pinot Noir, Carneros, California (Worth the splurge!)
