November 2002: page 67

Scott's Wine Suggestion:
A plump, golden-roasted turkey is a true icon on the Thanksgiving table. This year you'll have that and more with this delicious recipe that adds a sweet and spicy touch to the classic bird. Now all you need is the perfect wine. Not to worry, this holiday favorite is custom-built for a full-bodied white. Chardonnay is the best all-around choice with it's bigger style, however, don't overlook Viognier, the classic white grape of the Rhône Valley, that's on the rise this year.
  • Barnard Grifin, Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, Washington
  • Sebastiani, Chardonnay, Sonoma County, California
  • Sieur d'Arques, Vichon, Chardonnay, Vin de Pays d'Oc, France
  • Callaway, Viognier, Coastal Reserve, California
