Scott's Wine Suggestion:
The bold Southwest flavors of this recipe are perfect for several styles of wine. One direction is light- to medium-bodied wines such as Riesling (particularly those from Germany and Australia) which will contrast with the zesty garlic and herbs, while complementing the sweet shrimp. On the other hand, a full-bodied Chardonnay will also do the trick by standing up to the assertive Southwest flavors.
  • Von Simmern, Riesling, Spätlese, Rheingau, Germany
  • Penfolds, Riesling, Eden Valley, Australia
  • Jindalee, Chardonnay, Australia
  • Beringer, Chardonnay, Founders' Reserve, California
