Get ready for some backyard fun. Reasonable prices on seasonal produce make these great-tasting kabobs and grilled peaches terrific choices for casual entertaining. Kabobs are so easy to assemble; let guests customize their own creations just before grilling. Almost anything goes for the ingredients.

Premarinated meats and poultry offer a speedy solution for quick weeknight suppers. It's best to mix and match vegetables, such as summer squash, bell pepper, and onion, with similar cook times. If you'd like to add potatoes or carrots, parboil them first, until almost done but still firm. Tightly packed skewers take longer to grill, so leave a small amount of space between each piece to ensure quick, even cooking.
