Safe Fun in the Sun
Here are a few tips to help keep everyone safe.
- No-trip trick: The hose leading from a faucet to a sprinkler
can be a tripping hazard. Position your hose out of pathways, and
drape bags of play sand across it to weigh it down.
- Watering hole: The best beverage for keeping the kids hydrated is water.
Serve punch, juice, or soft drinks only once (okay, maybe twice) during the party.
- Sun block: Have extra tubes of lip and body sunscreens with an SPF of
15 or higher on hand, along with hats and baggy T-shirts.
- Indoor breaks:
Lay a pathway of inexpensive rubber-backed rugs from the door to
the bathroom to catch drips and prevent slipping on uncarpeted floors.
