Longwood Gardens has opened a playground extraordinaire. Its new Indoor Children’s Garden, housed in the East Conservatory, combines a creative use of plants with imaginative design. It contains 17 different fountains in 7 distinct areas that boast names such as The Secret Room and The Grotto Cave. Everywhere you look is a sculpture, a water feature, a plant that invites exploration, discovery, and fun. Remember to bring some towels--splashing in the water is definitely encouraged. Tickets cost $16 adults and $6 ages 5-22. Ages 4 and under get in free. To read more about this garden just 12 miles from Wilmington, Delaware, visit www.longwoodgardens.org.
