This easy guacamole recipe was developed to serve alongside our Turkey Quesadillas, but we can think of countless ways to use this all-star, and oh-so-simple, dip. This basic version is already full of delicious, fresh flavor, but you can kick it up with your favorite guacamole add-ins. A fan of tomatoes? Add a few finely chopped red beauties in. You’re not a fan of cilantro? That’s okay, just omit it! To keep this guacamole looking its best, be sure to use the full tablespoon of fresh lime juice. If you’re making ahead, cover the top of the guacamole with a layer of plastic wrap—that’s right, don’t just wrap the bowl, press the plastic wrap down so it’s actually laying directly on the guacamole. - 1 large ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
How to Make
Mash together 1 large ripe avocado, chopped; 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice; 1/2 tsp. hot sauce; and 1/4 tsp. kosher salt in a bowl. Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro.
