Plant Details

Soft-textured, spreading mat of bright light green, finely cut, aromatic leaves. Reaches 312 inches high. Blooms in summer, sometimes continuing into fall. Blossoms of the most commonly grown form look like small yellow buttons, while those of other types resemble little daisies. Useful between stepping stones or as a low edging along path. 'Treneague' is a nonflowering selection; 'Flore Pleno' has double daisylike flowers.

Fragrant, sweet chamomile tea comes from the dried flowers of Matricaria recutita.
