Plant Details

Native to Alabama. Ornamental multistemmed shrub 36 feet tall and wide, with arching, delicate branches and clouds of feathery white flowers in spring. Grows rather slowly. Medium green, pointed, oval leaves to 3 inches long. Unusual, showy flowers: spread- ing, inch-wide bunches of white stamens, without petals. Easy to grow if given well-drained soil and plenty of water during summer.
