The agent acted without any hope of recognition, and that makes him a true hero.

One photojournalist found himself in the right place at the right time on Monday, and was able to snap a few photos of a touching moment between two unlikely individuals: a secret service agent and a homeless man.

Just one block away from the White House, Fox 5 DC’s Van Applegate watched as a secret service bike officer delivered a hot meal to a homeless man who was sleeping outside St. John's Church in Washington, D.C.

“@SecretService bike officer drops of hot meal to homeless man sleeping outside St. John's Church, a block from the White House. Day made.” Applegate wrote on Twitter alongside two photos of the agent subtly helping the man.

The unidentified man was sleeping on the steps of the same downtown church President Trump and his family visited on Sunday for a National Day of Prayer to honor the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
