Officers handed out 300 bouquets in an effort to promote kindness and positive connections in the community.

Now here’s something you don’t see everyday! Instead of speeding tickets, the police officers in Acworth, Georgia, were handing out flowers on Wednesday.

As part of the Society of American Florists nationwide initiative called Petal It Forward, the Acworth Police Department and Tilted Tulip Florist teamed up to surprise random people on the street with free flowers. Lucky recipients were given two bouquets — one to keep, and one to share. All told, the officers handed out 300 bouquets in an effort to promote kindness and positive connections in the community.
