Alabama's annual tax-free weekend is back!

Now in its 12th year, the back-to-school shopping extravaganza has a new date (it was moved from the first weekend in August to the weekend of July 21st) and an exciting addition to its long list of tax-exempt product: diapers! That’s right Alabama parents, this year diapers—both cloth and disposable—can be purchased tax free for an entire weekend.

Diapers aren’t the only thing folks can save big on this weekend. According to a statement from the Alabama Department of Revenue, tax-free purchases also include clothing priced at $100 or less, school supplies valued at $50 or less, books that cost $30 or less and computers and computer equipment with a selling price of $750 or less.
