These hotels will comfort both you and your pocketbook.

Sure, you can drop a bundle on luxe lodgings in Georgia's largest city, but we've found some remarkable deals to save you enough bucks for a night on the town.

  • Hotel Indigo: The hippest boutique property in Midtown, this study in color and size boasts luscious rooms (with the tiniest baths we've seen this side of a cruise ship). Expect functional furnishings, high thread-count sheets, thick towels, and seasonal murals. In the morning, sip latte on the patio, and watch the beautiful people stroll by on Peachtree. 683 Peachtree Street NE., across from The Fox Theatre; (404) 874-9200. Weekend rates: $139.
  • Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Buckhead: Pretty and convenient, this hotel includes a wonderful little bar and restaurant, plus free use of neighboring Buckhead Athletic Club. 3377 Peachtree Road NE., a half-block from Lenox Square Mall; (404) 264-1111. Weekend rates: $112.
  • Hampton Inn Atlanta-Buckhead: Come here for the updated rooms and free parking in a basic Hampton Inn format. The price is unbeatable. 3398 Piedmont Road NE., two blocks from the intersection of Piedmont and Peachtree; (404) 233-5656. Weekend rates: $89.
  • Atlanta Marriott Marquis: While this 50-story landmark renovates, you benefit with an affordable aquarium package. It includes lodging, breakfast, parking, and two VIP tickets to the Georgia Aquarium starting at $229. 265 Peachtree Center Avenue, five blocks from the Georgia Aquarium; (404) 521-0000.
