Meredith and Dave chose Charleston, South Carolina as their wedding destination for its coastal charm, cuisine and culture

 

Their Story

“We were set up by a dear mutual friend to attend a concert together,” Meredith says of her first date with Dave. Though the two were both from Charlotte, North Carolina, and living in New York City, they hadn’t met. “We discovered that we both love Charlotte, food, and wine, and things just went from there,” she recalls. After more than a year together, Meredith opened the door one weekend to find her doorman with the first clue to a scavenger hunt that led her to an engagement ring and a proposal from Dave. They each grew up spending time on the beaches around Charleston, and they immediately knew that the city would be the perfect backdrop for an event that celebrated the history, culture, food, and beauty of the South.
