[MUSIC] When you're in the upstairs hall, the bedroom to the right, we kept it a very neutral palette. We started off with a large khaki and white buffalo check as kind of our overall palette for the room, and we used a buffalo check on the drapes, and then we selected a white coverlet mixed with a white linen upholstered headboard, and then a linen duvet cover. On each side of the bed we used two different pieces in this room. On one side we used a two-drawer white chest with a great glass lamp, and then on the other side we used this basket which is a great storage piece, with the leather strap detail, which really adds another texture to the room. And then on the other side of the room, we have a great, white, really simple armoire, and this was a great piece to be able to store a lot in a very small room, and we like to do that in smaller spaces and guest rooms. And to create more interest in the bedroom, we created a collection over the bed, and we used white, more modern, clean frames, and we got vintage photos from around Sanoy, and we had those printed and use in the frames and then we found these great old, antique plates, and we created a collection. We try to keep a consistent color throughout the collection, and a theme, but then mix different objects, where here we mix just the photos and the plates, but it really gives you a sense of texture to the room, that it needed with an all-white neutral palette. The walls in the room are the existing wood walls from the original farmhouse, so we wanted to leave those intact, and they're beautiful. And if you look at the window wall, you'll see that the window is still slightly uneven, which gives you the sense of character of an 1830s farmhouse. For the corner of the room, we selected a white wicker chair. We always like to have a place to sit. The bathroom off this bedroom, we wanted a little bit of color, which you didn't have in the bedroom, so we selected this great green antique piece that we used for the sink base, and then we selected a vessel sink to go on top of the antique piece with a wall faucet. That, mixed with the white subway tile that wraps the room, and the claw foot tub with the linen shower curtain, creates an overall sense of tying the bedroom together, but still giving it its own place with the color of the room. In this room we tried to create a great guest room. It's very relaxing. It would be a great place to come and stay and enjoy a long weekend with your family.
