No summer would be complete without visiting our Idea Houses, and this year, we’ve built two knockouts―one on Mustang Island, Texas, and the other in Dahlonega, Georgia.

If you’re heading to the Gulf Coast, Tarpon Run is a must-see. But get ready―it’s not your conventional beach house. Designed to accommodate two to three couples and their kids, this place raises the bar on waterfront living. You’ll flip when you see the sleeping loft, outdoor fireplaces, and master bath that’s behind glass.

Hemlock Springs in North Georgia offers splendid views and inspiring interiors. This home is both casual and polished, with an emphasis on well-coordinated finishes and fabrics. Between its dream kitchen, family studio, and upstairs retreat, you’ll be hard-pressed to name your favorite room.

Pick up a copy of our August issue, with the annual “Idea House” special section, to see our editors’ favorite ideas.
