Asian Themed ChristmasTree

Break the rules this year. Silver tinsel and popcorn garland have had their 15 minutes of fame, so why not try this idea?

When we set our sights on this tree in Savannah, we knew we had to feature it simply because we’d never seen anything like it. The majestic fir tree is the dramatic centerpiece of Paula and Glenn Wallace’s family room. Silk lanterns, supported by bamboo rods, and paper parasols are the main ornaments on this tree. For a small dose of tradition, gauzy gold ribbon and strands of twinkle lights nestle among the branches.

"Something New on the Tree" is from the December 2007 issue of Southern Living.
