Q. How does fashion influence your interiors?
A. As with my clothes, I keep my projects classic and jazz things up with color and pattern. Every room, and outfit, should have something a little unexpected!

Q. Favorite place to shop?
A. Gilt Groupe and Net-a-Porter are easy for online shopping, but I travel a lot and also shop good vintage stores.

Q. Best shopping advice?
A. Don't spend a ton of money on trends. Ask yourself, "Will I love this in a year?" Invest in great staples instead.

Q. What are you buying this summer?
A. Bright neons. I love to wear color as much as I love decorating with it.

Q. Go-to summer outfit?
A. A sundress that I can layer with a scarf. I'll wear flats with it during the day and then add wedges and a straw clutch at night.

Q. The must-have for every Southern lady?
A. A statement piece. Everyone needs that one thing that makes her stand a little taller and project her inner peacock.
