Staying within your budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice great style.
moreThe next time you need a redecorating fix, head to the stores with big parking lots, flip through the catalogs in your mailbox, or surf online. Mass retailers offer good benefits to savvy shoppers. Stock up on basic goods such as towels or bedding, but don’t keep them basic for long. Personalize them with monograms or interesting trims. If a trendy piece catches your eye, go for it. Chain stores are great for experimenting without spending much. They are also good places to find close-enough versions of dream pieces that you aren’t ready to buy. Don’t miss limited-time-only designer collections. Companies are working with well-known designers to offer high style at normal-people prices. Before you make any purchases, compare prices and sales both online and in-store. And remember, no matter how great the bargain is, don’t buy too much from one place. You don’t want your home to look like a store advertisement!
