How has cancer changed your outlook on life?
Being diagnosed with breast cancer has actually brought our family so many blessings of kindness, true friendship, and faith.
It has brought our family closer together and has given me more self-confidence and shown me how strong I really am! It has
also made me a more humble and compassionate person toward others.
What words of encouragement would you share with others with cancer?
Being diagnosed is such a scary ordeal, and there is a lot of information thrown at you all at once. It’s very hard to process
all of it and make big decisions about a treatment plan. My advice would be to try and slow down and understand ALL of the
information and options you have—even if it means having a family member or friend help or listen for you. Having ALL the
knowledge and facts you can about your situation helps you feel more in control over your cancer. Fight hard and never lose
hope.
