This month we've gathered a variety of recipes as alternatives to weekly spaghetti night. The ingredient lists aren't long, and most of the dishes are ready in the time it takes to boil the water and cook the pasta. Check out our box on substitutions.
Successful Substitutions
- Uncooked dried pasta of similar shapes can be interchanged in recipes if it's measured by weight, not by volume. Check packages for weight, or use a kitchen scale.
- Cooked pasta can be substituted cup for cup. One (8-ounce) package dry pasta yields about 4 cups cooked pasta.
