Rudolph's Christmas Sugar Cookies

These fun and simple sugar cookies are the perfect treat for Santa.

-Kids love decorating cookies during the holidays and this reindeer cookies are a synch because they start with refrigerated sugar cookie dough. They're fun, simple, and the perfect treat for Santa. The dough has been in the freezer for about 15 minutes. That helps to keep it firm and makes it easier for your cutouts. I'm using the 3-inch round cookie cutter. Once you've done all your cutouts, just move into an ungreased baking sheet and we'll start to decorate. This is a two-step process. First, we'll add the antlers and bake and then we'll add the rest of the face. What you wanna do with your circles is about two-thirds the way down, just give them a little pinch to make the face. There you go. And then add your antlers. The antlers are jus the inner wishbone of the pretzel. So, you'll break off the curved sides and then just press your antlers into the cookies. We want this to bake in so that they don't fall off. I'll just add a few more and then I'll get these in the oven. And then the cookies will bake for about eight minutes. Just make sure to double check your package directions. These little cookies are so easy to decorate. Just use mini chocolate chips for the eyes. You wanna make sure to do this step as soon as the cookies come out of the oven while they're still soft and then press in a red cinnamon candy for the nose. Once you've finished decorating your cookies, transfer them to a wire rack and let them sit for about 20 minutes so they can cool completely.
