Cheese, bacon, and ranch seasoning come together to make these Loaded Tater Tot Kabobs the best handheld party appetizer around. Kids will love a skewer with their hamburgers at your next BBQ, but we know the adults will also want to dip a few.
Loaded Tater Tot Kabobs
(32-oz.) package frozen tater tots
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1 (1-oz.) package ranch seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
Additional ranch dressing, for dipping
Green onions, sliced, for topping
Preheat oven according to package directions. Spray a jelly-roll pan with cooking spray. Combine tater tots with ranch seasoning and salt; pour onto baking sheet. Bake according to package directions until golden brown and done. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
Set oven to 425˚F. Thread slightly cooled tots onto wooden skewers and arrange on a baking sheet. Top with cheddar, Monterey Jack, and bacon. Bake at 425˚F until cheese is melted, or about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and top with green onions. Serve with additional ranch dressing for dipping.
