Cook fall-off-the-bone, melt-in-your-mouth short ribs in just four simple steps.
These short ribs have been braised in a drool-worthy combination of diced onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Your entire family
is guranteed to be asking for these again and again.
Recipe: Braised Short Ribs
Place seasoned flour mixture in a shallow dish. Dredge ribs in mixture, and shake off excess. The flour creates a protective crust for the meat and will help to thicken the pan sauce.
Brown the ribs, in batches, in a Dutch oven. Remove ribs, and reserve the drippings in the skillet. These "brown bits" are high in flavor and will be deglazed once liquid is added.
Add salt and vegetables to Dutch oven, and sauté until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients, except garnish.
Return ribs to Dutch oven. Cover and simmer until tender (the meat will start to fall off the bone).
