Pretty Pedestal

Turn a flat-bottom glass bowl upside down to create a pedestal for serving dishes. Putting food at different levels on a buffet table gives a more interesting look to your setting. Jon found black-and-white print paper in the scrapbooking section of a crafts store and cut it into strips. He taped the pieces together and attached them to the inside of the clear bowl using double-sided tape. “The scrapbooking aisle is a great resource,” Jon says. “You can find all sorts of colorful paper for any occasion.”
