Test Kitchens Tips
- A hand mixer works great for these small desserts, so you won’t need to pull out the heavy equipment.
- Store tightly wrapped leftover ladyfingers in the freezer. Or toast them, and top with ice cream and fudge sauce for a spur-of-the-moment dessert.
- Toast more almonds than you’ll need for the tartlets. Store extra almonds in a plastic container in the freezer. They’re great in salads and on coffee cakes.
