In a search for the best anti-aging hair mask, a few varieties by Klorane will likely be at the top of every list—we’ve seen Klorane bottles sitting on the vanities of our mothers and grandmothers for years, so we know it must be good. While every hair mask has a new list of extract-this and nutrient-that, we’ve had a hard time finding one that stands out from the crowd, until now.
Though it has been on the market for years, recently, a certain Klorane mask caught our attention: Klorane Mask with Magnolia. It promises to protect strands, boost shine, and deeply nourish hair fibers. Every benefit of this super-hydrating hair mask comes from the wax found in the magnolia. Turns out, magolia wax is rich in antioxidants (who knew?) and it can transforms your tired tresses into shiny, envy-inducing strands in no time.

Here’s how it works: apply the mask to sections of hair—paying particular attention to the ends. Use a comb or wet brush to ensure it’s evenly distributed. Leave it on for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. If you have some time on your hands (or want to come honestly by cancelling your date because you have to wash your hair), wrap your masked hair with a warm towel and don’t rinse for 20 minutes. Klorane recommends using the mask just once a week to treat hair, but we’ve read some women are such fans of this product they end up using it daily as a conditioner. That being said, it is thick and highly nourishing so it may weigh down your ‘do if you use it too often.
Is anyone else surprise that the South’s most iconic bloom is proven to strengthen strands? They don’t call us steel magnolias for nothing.
