Southern summers are hot and humid, making them enjoyable to look at but not as enjoyable to spend time outside in. If you are brave enough to spend a hot summer day on your back porch or at the pool, you probably already know that the key to a good time in 95˚ heat is a cool drink in your hand (and, a little sunscreen). If you're buzzing around looking for a new beverage to sip poolside – because, let's face it, sometimes sweet tea isn't strong enough – we'd like to turn your attention to a cocktail that will become your new best friend. Mississippi Mudslides are everything a milkshake should be: sweet, creamy, and spiked with just enough bourbon to make those sweltering afternoons manageable. This four-ingredient, simple recipe is all the decadence of Mississippi Mud that Southerners love without nearly the amount of work. And, we promise that guests will love sipping on this grown-up chocolate milkshake. The presentation of Mississippi Mudslides is pretty impressive, too. We've drizzled chocolate syrup on the inside of milkshake glasses, topped the boozy concotion with some whipped cream, and added a marshmallow garnish. If you really want to turn up the style on these fun milkshake-cocktails, toast your marshmallow with a blowtorch (or, do a batch in the oven) for a delicate, golden-brown finish.

You're only about ten minutes away from the shake of your dreams. To start, add a pint of coffee ice cream and a pint of chocolate ice cream to a blender. Add in 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of bourbon to the ice cream, and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pour your Mississippi Mudslides into the prepared chocolate-drizzled glasses and top with plenty of whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a toasted marshmallow.
