It may be arguable, but we're pretty sure that the word pudding is preceded by 'banana' more often than not.
If it isn't, it should be. At least that means we're talking about one of our favorite Southern classic desserts, although pudding can be great in many other ways. It could mean superb flavors like those in an Ambrosia Pudding Pie, or in Praline Bread Pudding. It could also be Buttermilk Peach Pudding or Cornbread Pudding with Whiskey Caramel that we're talking about. Truly, it could. But we're probably still thinking of that banana pudding, served in any number of amazing ways: from Caramelized Banana Pudding and Peanut Butter-Banana Pudding to Peanut Butter-Banana Sandwich Bread Puddings with Dark Caramel Sauce.
That's just scratching the banana-pudding surface. If it's all too much, maybe some Apple Bread Pudding, or some Buttermilk Peach Pudding, will do the trick. Remember, it is all about making something sweet and delicious. And no matter what you think of as pudding, it all means the same thing: a delicious treat on the table that we're thinking of as pudding. Call it what you will, but we know what it means.
